Beko sells three kinds of coffee machine in Dubai: bean-to-cup machines such as the CEG5311X and CEG7304X, espresso machines in the CEP range, and filter coffee makers such as the CFM6350I and CFM6201W. People search for the same few things. What is the cleaning agent in the box and can I swap it for something else? How do I descale it? Why does a light stay on, why is the coffee dripping out slowly, or why will the heating plate not get warm?

This page answers those from Beko's own documents: the CEG5311X user manual, Beko's how-to for the CEG7304X, the CFM6350I and CFM6201W manuals, and Beko Gulf's coffee machine support page. We say where documents disagree, because they do: the bean-to-cup manual forbids vinegar and the filter coffee maker manuals allow it.

Book a visit and a technician arrives at your home or office, normally the same day. The fault is found and priced before any part goes in. Most repairs are finished at your door, and the few that are not are collected by us.

## Beko coffee machine repair in Dubai: what we fix and what it costs

Diagnosis is AED 100 plus 5% VAT. If you then want the repair, most Beko jobs come to between AED 80 and AED 400, depending on the part, and you agree the figure first.

- Photos of the lights and the rating plate help us arrive with the right parts.
- Parts are genuine and priced together with the labour.
- A month's cover applies to the part and the work.
- We aim to finish at your address. The workshop is the exception.

| Fault | Typical work | Where it sits in the range |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Touch buttons dead or slow | Descale if scale is the cause, then test the panel | Lower to middle |
| Brewer missing, stuck or will not come out | Finish an interrupted self-clean, then free or replace the brewer | Lower to middle |
| Coffee flows slowly or in drips | Check the grind, then the brewer and the pump | Lower to middle |
| Bean light flashes with beans present | Clear the internal powder outlet | Lower end |
| Coffee not hot | Rinse and preheat, then test the heater and sensor | Lower to upper |
| Heating plate stays cold on a filter machine | Check the supply and the keep-warm switch, then the plate | Lower to middle |
| No water from a filter machine | Check the filter basket and flow, then the pump or heater | Middle |
| Milk frother weak or blocked | Strip and clean the nozzle, replace seals | Lower to middle |
| Dead machine or blown fuse | Check cable, plug and fuse, then the board | Lower to upper |

A basic Beko filter coffee maker is cheap to replace, and if that is the better choice we will tell you.

## Which Beko do you have?

The model code is on the rating plate on the back or underside. Beko's codes begin with CEG for fully automatic bean-to-cup machines, CEP for pump espresso machines and CFM or CFD for filter machines.

| Model | Type | Manuals covered |
| --- | --- | --- |
| CEG5311X | Fully automatic espresso machine | The user manual: display lights, self-cleaning, troubleshooting, safety, power |
| CEG7304X, CEG7302B | Bean-to-cup with a milk cup | Beko's how-to for the CEG7304X: use, cleaning, descaling. |
| CEP 5464 DX and other CEP | Espresso machine | Not quoted on this page |
| CEG7425B and other CEG | Bean-to-cup | Not quoted on this page |
| CFM6350I | Filter coffee maker, 1000 W | The user manual: descaling, cleaning, safety, power |
| CFM6201W | Filter coffee maker, 840 to 1000 W | The English part of the manual: cleaning, descaling, safety |

Beko writes differently for each model, so a rule on one page may not apply to yours. The tables below say which model each rule comes from.

## Who looks after a Beko in the UAE?

Beko Gulf's support page for coffee machines offers a contact page, lists support hours of Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (it says CST and does not say whether that is UAE time), and shows no phone number. Its answer to a heating plate that will not warm ends with a recommendation to contact an authorised service agent. It does not say who the agents are or how to find one.

| Your situation | What we suggest |
| --- | --- |
| Under warranty | Use Beko's contact page and keep the invoice |
| Out of warranty | Message us. We can usually come the same day |
| Bought abroad | Check the plug and voltage first (see the power section) |
| A basic filter machine | Compare the repair quote with the price of a new one |

One Click Dubai is not part of Beko. We cannot answer for the maker, and our repair is not a factory warranty.

## The Beko cleaning agent: what is in the box and what to use

A common search about Beko is the cleaning agent. The documents give two different answers, and which applies depends on the machine.

| Machine | What the document says |
| --- | --- |
| CEG5311X (bean-to-cup) | The box includes three packs of cleaning agent for self-cleaning. The manual says not to use vinegar or other cleaning agents for self-cleaning, and not to use abrasives, vinegar or descaling agents that are not in the box |
| CEG7304X (bean-to-cup) | The how-to says to add one pack of cleaning agent when descaling. It does not name a descaler type |
| CFM6350I, CFM6201W (filter) | Buy a descaler from a specialist shop and follow its insert. White vinegar and citric acid are allowed as alternatives to a commercial descaler |

- On a bean-to-cup Beko, use the packs that came in the box. Ask the shop where you bought it or ask us.
- Do not put vinegar in a bean-to-cup Beko. The CEG5311X manual forbids it in plain words.
- On a filter coffee maker, the manuals allow vinegar and citric acid, though the maker's own descaler is the other route.
- If the cleaning packs have run out and the light is on, message us rather than substituting.

This split catches people out. A household used to vinegar in a drip machine may reach for it on a bean-to-cup, and the manual says not to.

## Self-cleaning and descaling a Beko CEG5311X

This is the CEG5311X manual's summary. The manual has no separate descale programme: the display tells you when descaling is needed, and the self-cleaning cycle with the supplied pack does the job.

1. **Wait for the light**: The descale indicator comes on solid when descaling is required.
2. **Fill the tank**: Fill it fully and add one cleaning pack from the box.
3. **Place a container**: Put a large container under the coffee spout.
4. **Start the cycle**: In standby, hold the buttons the manual shows for five seconds, then confirm with the strong espresso button.
5. **Keep clear**: Keep skin away from the hot water.
6. **Refill**: When the tank empties, discard the solution, refill the tank with plain tap water to the max mark, and let the cycle finish.
7. **Done**: The machine switches off by itself.

- The manual recommends running it at least once a month, or more often on harder water.
- A solid descale light means descaling is required. A flashing light means it is in progress.
- If the cycle is interrupted, the manual lists the brewer and grounds tray as impossible to remove. Switch on and let the self-clean finish.
- Touch buttons that do not respond are, in the manual, caused by excessive scale. The remedy is to descale.

The manual does not mention a water filter and does not say how to set water hardness. It mentions hardness only as the reason to clean more often.

## Descaling a Beko CEG7304X

Beko's UK how-to for this model is more detailed on buttons and timing.

1. **Wait for the light**: Start when the descaling light flashes (three stars).
2. **Fill and add**: Fill the tank to the descaling level and add one pack of cleaning agent.
3. **Place a container**: A large one under the spout and the nozzle.
4. **Start**: In idle mode, hold the descaling button for three seconds. A beep confirms it, and the light flashes until the tank is empty.
5. **Second cycle**: Refill to the descaling level with water and press the button again. Taking out and refitting the tank also starts this cycle.
6. **Finish**: The machine returns to idle when the tank is empty, and descaling is complete.

### Daily and deep cleaning on the same model

- After each use, press the cleaning button once to rinse the coffee outlet, or twice to rinse the milk cup.
- Wipe the milk nozzle with a dry fibre cloth after every use. The how-to says to.
- A red bean-in-cup icon means a deep clean is due. Unplug the machine, empty the drip tray and residue container, remove the brewing unit, and pull down the metal tube to turn off the nozzle cover.
- Wash parts in warm soapy water. Most are dishwasher safe, but not the brewing unit.
- Brush the narrow holes and the coffee outlet line, dry with a microfibre cloth and refit.

The how-to gives a warning that is worth repeating: never change the grinder knob when the grinder is not running. It can damage the grinder.

## Display lights on the Beko CEG5311X

| Indicator | State | Meaning in the manual | What to do |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Water | Flashing | Low water or tank missing | Fill and seat the tank |
| Bean | Flashing | Out of beans | Fill the bean container |
| Grounds | Solid | Grounds container full | Empty and wash it |
| Drip tray or grounds | Flashing | Internal drip tray or grounds container missing | Reseat it |
| Brewer | Solid | Brewer missing or fitted wrongly | Refit it properly |
| Service door | Flashing | Door open or fitted wrongly | Close it properly |
| Descale | Solid | Descaling required | Run the self-clean |
| Descale | Flashing | Descaling in progress | Wait |
| Empty system | On | The Empty System function is running | Wait |

A light that stays on after you have done the thing it asks for means a sensor or a contact is at fault, and that is a visit.

## What the CEG5311X manual lists as faults

| Problem | Cause in the manual | Remedy in the manual | When we are called |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Appliance does not work | Not connected to the mains | Plug in, press the switch, check cable and plug | The supply is fine |
| No or slow response to buttons | Electromagnetic interference or a dirty panel | Unplug, restart after a few minutes, clean the panel | It stays |
| Coffee not hot enough | Cups not warmed, or the brewing unit too cold | Rinse the machine at least three times before brewing | It stays hot only after rinsing |
| Coffee does not flow from the spout | The Empty System function was used earlier | Press the hot water button until water flows | Water does not flow |
| First cup is poor | The grinder's first run gives too little powder | Discard the first cup | Never |
| Touch buttons do not respond | Excess scale | Descale | Descaling fails |
| Coffee flows slowly or drips | Grind too fine | Set a coarser grind while the grinder runs | The grind is coarse and it stays |
| Bean light flashes with beans present | Internal powder outlet blocked | Follow the manual's powder outlet cleaning steps | It returns |
| Brewer or grounds tray will not come out | Self-cleaning was interrupted | Switch on and let it finish | It does not release |

The manual also describes an Empty System function for long periods unused, for frost protection and before calling a repair agent. After using it, press the hot water button until water flows before using the machine again.

## The heating plate on a Beko filter machine

Beko Gulf's help page gives a short answer to a plate that does not heat: confirm the machine is plugged into a working outlet, check whether the model has a separate keep-warm button and whether it is on, check the user manual for how the model works, and if the problem continues treat it as a technical fault and contact an authorised service agent.

- Try another socket first. A dead socket is the cheapest cause.
- Look for a keep-warm switch separate from the main one.
- The CFM6350I manual says the machine shuts itself off automatically after 30 minutes, so a plate that cooled after half an hour is working as designed.
- If the plate is cold when the machine is brewing, switch off and message us.

## Descaling a Beko filter coffee maker

The two filter machine manuals give the same method with a different fill mark.

| Step | CFM6350I | CFM6201W |
| --- | --- | --- |
| How often | At least four times a year, more often on hard water | At least four times a year, more often on hard water |
| Descaler | Buy one from a specialist shop and follow its insert if it differs | Commercial descaler, or white vinegar or citric acid |
| Mix | Fill the tank to the 12 mark, 4 parts water to 1 part descaler | Fill to the 10 mark, 4 parts water to 1 part descaler |
| Run | About one large cup, switch off, soak about 15 minutes, repeat, then run the rest | Same |
| Rinse | Fresh cold water through, four times | Same |

- Switch off, unplug and let the machine cool before cleaning.
- Wash the filter basket under running water with a little mild cleanser. It can go on the top dishwasher rack.
- Never use petrol solvents, abrasive cleaners, metal objects or hard brushes.
- If water does not drip from the filter basket, the CFM6350I manual says to unplug, wait 10 minutes for it to cool, then open the filter cover and check.

Only the filter machine manuals allow vinegar. Do not carry that habit to a bean-to-cup Beko.

## Grind, dose and volume on the Beko CEG7304X

Beko's how-to for this model gives numbers a barista at home can use.

| Setting | What the how-to says |
| --- | --- |
| Ground coffee | Select the ground coffee icon and add 7 to 13 grams of pre-ground coffee to its container |
| Grind | Turn the knob on the bean container. Higher numbers mean a coarser grind |
| Grinder warning | Never change the grinder setting when the grinder is not running. It may damage the grinder |
| Cup height | Set the spout height for your cup before brewing |
| Programs | Standard bean, intense bean or ground coffee |
| Saving a volume | Hold the coffee button while it pours, anywhere between 25 and 250 millilitres, and release at the volume you want. Two beeps confirm it is saved |

- If coffee comes out slowly, make the grind coarser, with the grinder running. The CEG5311X manual gives too fine a grind as the cause of slow flow.
- The CEG5311X manual says the first cup is poor because the grinder's first run gives too little powder. Discard it.
- Fill the bean container when the bean icon flashes, pouring slowly with the lid off, and replace the lid.

A grinder that makes a strained noise or does not grind is a repair, and a setting changed while the grinder was stopped can be the reason. Tell us if that happened.

## The milk cup and the froth

The CEG7304X has a milk cup rather than a plumbed milk system. That makes it simpler to look after and easier to clean.

- Fill the milk cup between the min and max lines and never above max.
- Fit the cup and turn the knob to change the froth. Hold your coffee selection to increase the milk volume.
- Press the power button and a beverage button together for three seconds to reset the customised settings.
- Wipe the milk nozzle with a dry fibre cloth after each use, as the how-to instructs.
- Press the cleaning button twice after use to rinse the milk cup, and once to rinse the coffee outlet.

If the froth is thin or the nozzle spits, strip the steam nozzle as the how-to shows: pull down the metal tube, turn the nozzle cover to the left, wash the parts, brush the narrow holes and refit. If it still fails after a proper clean, the seal or the steam path is the next thing we test.

## Reset, mute and the empty-system function

Some functions on the CEG7304X surprise owners because they are hidden behind button combinations. The how-to lists them.

| Function | How, according to the how-to |
| --- | --- |
| Empty system, for long non-use | Hold the power and milk cup buttons for three seconds, then remove the tank. The machine drains and shuts off |
| Mute or unmute | Hold the power and ground coffee buttons for three seconds |
| Reset customised settings | Hold the power button and a beverage button together for three seconds |
| Disable auto clean | Not recommended. Open the front cover, hold the power button for five seconds, then close the door |

The CEG5311X has its own Empty System function, which the manual recommends before a long period of non-use, for frost protection and before contacting a repair agent. After using it, press the hot water button until water flows.

## Mistakes the manuals warn about

- Using vinegar on a bean-to-cup. The CEG5311X manual forbids it.
- Using a cleaning agent that is not in the box for the self-clean on the CEG5311X.
- Changing the grinder setting while the grinder is stopped.
- Pouring warm, hot or sparkling water into the CEG5311X tank.
- Putting the machine or its accessories in the dishwasher. The CEG5311X manual forbids it, and the CEG7304X how-to excludes the brewing unit.
- Interrupting the self-clean, which leaves the brewer and grounds tray stuck.
- Filling a filter machine above its maximum mark. The CFM6350I manual warns that boiling water may splash.
- Opening the lid of a filter machine while the water is boiling.
- Running any of them without water.

Each of these is easy to avoid, and several lead to a visit that did not need to happen.

## Using a Beko filter coffee maker safely

The CFM6350I and CFM6201W manuals are short, and most of what they say is about safety. It is worth knowing, because a filter machine is the one people use without reading anything.

- Never fill the machine above the maximum level mark. Boiling water may splash out.
- Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
- Never run it without water inside.
- Hold it by the handle only, and keep it out of reach of children under eight.
- Use an earthed outlet and no extension cord. The CFM6201W manual also advises connecting the appliance to a household residual current protection switch.
- If water or coffee does not drip from the filter basket after several seconds, unplug the machine, let it cool for ten minutes and then check the filter.
- The CFM6350I switches itself off after 30 minutes.

A machine that will not drip, smells of burning or has a damaged cable should be unplugged and brought to us.

## Water, scale and how often to clean

The Beko documents tie cleaning and descaling to water hardness but give no hardness figure for Dubai, and neither do we. Hardness varies by building and tank.

| Machine | Interval the document gives |
| --- | --- |
| CEG5311X | Self-clean at least once a month, or more regularly on harder water. The descale light also tells you |
| CEG7304X | When the three-star descaling light flashes. A deep clean when the red bean-in-cup icon appears |
| CFM6350I and CFM6201W | Descale at least four times a year, more often on hard water |

- If descale prompts come very often, the water in your building is probably hard. Tell us when you book.
- A scaled machine shows it in ways the manual lists: unresponsive touch buttons, slow flow or a cold plate.
- Scale is cheaper to prevent than to repair, and every Beko document says to descale on schedule.

If you do not know your water's hardness, a test strip gives you a number to tell us.

## Power, plugs and safety

- The CEG5311X runs on 220 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz and 1,350 watts. The CFM6350I is 1,000 watts and the CFM6201W is 840 to 1,000 watts on the same voltage. Dubai's supply fits.
- The CEG5311X manual describes a UK plug with a 13 amp fuse that must be replaced with an approved fuse of the same rating. Dubai's sockets are the British pattern, so the plug is the right shape.
- Do not use a machine with a damaged cable or plug. The CEG5311X manual says a qualified electrician must replace the cable.
- The filter machine manual says to use an earthed outlet only and not an extension cord.
- Do not open the housing, and unplug before cleaning the bean container.
- Never immerse the machine, cable or plug in water or any liquid.
- Do not touch the metal sleeves on the coffee spouts, and keep clear of steam and hot water.
- Use indoors, away from rain, frost and direct sunlight.
- Children aged eight and over may use the CEG5311X only with supervision or instruction.

These are the points in the manuals. Your own manual is the full list.

## Parts we fit on Beko machines

| Part | Job in the machine | What you notice when it wears |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Brewing unit | Presses the coffee | Slow flow, brewer light, wet grounds |
| Grinder and powder outlet | Grind and deliver the coffee | Noise, bean light with beans present |
| Pump | Moves the water | No flow, weak cup |
| Heater and temperature sensor | Heats the water or the plate | Cold coffee, cold plate |
| Milk cup, nozzle and seals | Draw and froth milk | Weak froth, leaks |
| Water tank, float and sensors | Hold and detect water | Water light with a full tank |
| Drip tray and grounds sensors | Report what is in place | False missing or full lights |
| Touch panel and board | Run the machine | Dead buttons, lights that stay on |
| Cable, plug and fuse | Supply the power | Dead machine |
| Filter basket and jug | Hold the coffee on a drip machine | Overflow, dripping |

Every part is genuine. For an older Beko with a discontinued part, you will hear that before the quote.

## Looking after a Beko in Dubai

This routine is ours, built on the manuals' intervals.

| When | Bean-to-cup Beko | Filter Beko |
| --- | --- | --- |
| After use | Rinse the outlet and milk cup, wipe the nozzle, empty tray and residue container | Empty the basket, wash the jug and basket |
| Weekly | Wash the removable parts that are dishwasher safe | Wipe the plate and exterior |
| Monthly | Run the self-clean with the box pack, as the CEG5311X manual recommends | Check the water for scale |
| Four times a year | Descale as the light asks | Descale |
| Before a long absence | Run the Empty System function | Empty the tank and dry the machine |

Use water suited to the machine and do not fill the CEG5311X tank with warm, hot or sparkling water. The manual lists all three as wrong.

## How a Beko visit works

1. **The story**: You tell us what the machine did and which lights were on. We ask when it was last cleaned.
2. **The supply**: We check the socket, cable, plug and fuse.
3. **Lights and sensors**: We read what the display says against the manual.
4. **Water side**: We check the tank, float, pump and brewer, or the basket on a filter machine.
5. **Quote**: You hear the price before we fit anything.
6. **Test**: We brew, froth if the machine froths, and check for drips.

A job that has to leave your home comes with a reason and a return time.

## Repair or replace a Beko?

Our own test is to price a new machine of the same type and to look hard at a repair that reaches half of it.

| Fault | Usual advice | Reason |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Brewer, grounds or tray sensor | Repair | Small parts |
| Powder outlet blockage | Repair | A cleaning job |
| Touch panel with scale | Descale or repair | Cheapest cause first |
| Pump on a bean-to-cup | Repair | Below a new machine |
| Heater or board on a bean-to-cup | Compare | Depends on the model |
| Almost any fault on a basic filter machine | Compare | New ones cost little |

If buying new is the smarter move, we say so and charge only for the diagnosis.

## Try these first

1. **Plug and socket**: Try another outlet and check the plug.
2. **Lights**: Read what they say and do what they ask.
3. **Tank and brewer**: Seat both properly.
4. **Grind**: Make the grind coarser while the grinder runs if the coffee only drips.
5. **Self-clean**: If a clean was interrupted, switch on and let it finish.

If it still misbehaves, message us.

## Details to have ready

- The model code on the rating plate.
- Which lights are on and whether they are solid or flashing.
- When the last self-clean or descale was done, and with what.
- Any vinegar or citric acid you have used in it.
- Whether it is a bean-to-cup or a filter machine.

Tell us any step from this page you have already tried.

## While you wait for the technician

If a Beko smells of burning, leaks or has a heating plate that stays cold, unplug it and let it cool. Empty the carafe and the water tank so nothing spills while it stands.

- Do not wash the base or any part with a plug or control on it. Wipe it with a damp cloth once it is unplugged and cool.
- Photograph the display, the lights and the model plate. The model code tells us which Beko manual applies.
- If you have already tried a descale, tell us when and with what.

## Frequently asked questions

### What will a Beko repair cost me?

AED 100 plus VAT to diagnose. The repair mostly lands between AED 80 and AED 400, agreed before we start.

### What is the Beko coffee machine cleaning agent?

On the CEG5311X the box includes three packs of cleaning agent for self-cleaning, and the manual says not to use vinegar or other cleaning agents. The CEG7304X how-to says to add one pack of cleaning agent when descaling.

### How do I descale a Beko coffee machine?

On a bean-to-cup, wait for the descale light, fill the tank, add one pack, put a container under the spout, start the cycle with the buttons your manual shows, and refill with plain water for the rinse. Filter machines use a 4 to 1 water and descaler mix, a 15-minute soak and four rinses.

### Can I use vinegar to descale a Beko?

The CEG5311X manual forbids vinegar. The CFM6350I and CFM6201W filter coffee maker manuals allow white vinegar and citric acid as alternatives to a commercial descaler.

### Where can I find Beko coffee machine descaling instructions?

In the user manual for your model. Beko Gulf's help page says you can download it with the model number. Send us the code and we will find the steps.

### How often should I descale a Beko?

The CEG5311X manual recommends the self-clean at least once a month, or more on hard water. The filter machine manuals say at least four times a year.

### Why will my Beko heating plate not heat?

Beko Gulf says to check the outlet and the keep-warm button, then treat it as a technical fault. The CFM6350I also switches off by itself after 30 minutes.

### Why are my touch buttons not working?

The CEG5311X manual lists excess scale. Descale it. If that does not help, the panel or board needs checking.

### Why does the bean light flash when there are beans in the container?

The CEG5311X manual says the internal powder outlet is blocked. Follow its cleaning steps for the outlet.

### Why is my coffee only dripping out?

The grind is too fine, according to the CEG5311X manual. Set a coarser grind while the grinder is running, never when it is stopped.

### How do I save a coffee volume on the CEG7304X?

Hold the coffee button while it pours, between 25 and 250 millilitres, and release at the volume you want. Two beeps confirm it is saved.

### How do I reset the customised settings on the CEG7304X?

Press the power button and a beverage button together for three seconds, according to Beko's how-to.

### What is the Empty System function for?

The CEG5311X manual recommends it before long periods of non-use, for frost protection and before contacting a repair agent. Press the hot water button until water flows afterwards.

### Is there a Beko service centre in Dubai?

Beko Gulf's page gives a contact page and support hours and refers to authorised service agents without naming them. We are independent of Beko, and most visits are the same day.

### Is it worth repairing a Beko?

A bean-to-cup brewer, sensor or pump repair usually is. A fault on a basic filter machine often is not, so compare the quote with a new one.
