Overview
One Click Dubai provides Daewoo washing machine repair in Dubai at your home, the same day you call. We repair Daewoo top load automatic machines, front loaders, twin tubs and the wall-mounted mini washers, including older models that have been in service for many years.
A Daewoo washing machine in Dubai is often a long-serving one, and the questions owners ask are practical: who can fix it, can parts still be found, and is it worth it. This page answers those, and takes the common faults in turn: not spinning, not draining, not starting and leaking.
We fit genuine Daewoo parts wherever they are available for the model, matched to the rating label.
Daewoo washing machine repair Dubai: key facts
Daewoo washing machine repair in Dubai with One Click Dubai starts with a AED 100 diagnostic visit, plus VAT. The technician finds the fault in your home, tells you whether the part is in stock or must be ordered, and gives a fixed price before any work.
Daewoo models begin with DW, DWF or DWD. The label is on the back of a top loader and inside the door rim of a front loader. A photo of it sent on WhatsApp saves time, because Daewoo laundry machine models changed often and parts differ between them.

People searching for a Daewoo washing machine service center near me often tell us they have had trouble finding anyone willing to work on the brand. Most of what fails on them, including belts, capacitors, drain motors, inlet valves, lid switches, pumps and suspension rods, is of a standard pattern and readily available.
What the service includes
Each stage of the programme is run to find where the machine stops, and the suspect part is checked with a meter.
In stock, orderable with a date, or no longer made. You hear this before you commit to anything.
Part and labour.
With water and a load.
With the warranty.
We also service working Daewoo machines: lint and drain filters, inlet screens, the tub and the space behind it, belt, suspension and a tub clean.
Daewoo washing machine problems: find yours
Daewoo washing machine problems are mostly mechanical and follow the same few patterns. Match what your machine is doing to the table.
The sections below take the four most searched problems in detail.
Daewoo washing machine not spinning
A Daewoo washing machine not spinning is held back by an open lid, water left in the tub or an uneven load. If none of those applies, the capacitor, the belt or the clutch has failed.
Top load
Daewoo top loaders with the air bubble wash system have a small air pump as well as the usual parts. A failed air pump affects the wash action, not the spin, so it can be ruled out for this fault.
Front load
A Daewoo front loader that will not spin has water left in the drum, a load it cannot balance, or a belt or motor fault. Clean the drain filter, mix the load, and try a spin with the drum empty. If the empty drum will not spin, book a visit.
Twin tub
A spinner that hums and will not turn has a failed capacitor or a brake that is not releasing. A spinner that is dead has an open lid switch or a failed timer. See the twin tub section below. General checks are in our not spinning guide.
Daewoo washing machine not draining
A Daewoo washing machine not draining has a drain hose that is blocked or badly placed, a drain valve or pump that is jammed, or a drain motor that has failed.
On gravity-drain top loaders it must run low to a floor drain. On pump models and front loaders it goes to a standpipe at the height given in the manual.
Especially where the machine has been pushed back against a wall.
The lint filter in a top loader. The drain filter at the bottom front of a front loader, with a tray under it.
At the drain stage, a top loader's drain motor clicks and hums as it pulls the valve open. A front loader's pump whirs.
Means the drain motor or pump has failed or is jammed.
Coins are the usual culprits. On a top loader a coin on the drain valve seat holds it open or shut. On a front loader a coin in the pump stops the impeller. Both are cleared or replaced at home. See the not draining guide.
Daewoo washing machine not starting
A Daewoo washing machine not starting has lost power, has an open lid or door, has child lock set, or is getting no water.
On older Daewoo machines the control panel film cracks with age and lets moisture reach the buttons. The machine then ignores some buttons or behaves as if one is held down. We replace the panel or repair the board beneath it. Our won't start guide has more checks.
Daewoo washing machine leaking
A Daewoo washing machine leaking is losing water at a hose connection, through the drain valve or pump, past the door seal on a front loader, or through the tub seal.
Rubber parts harden with age and heat. On a machine that has spent years on a hot balcony, hoses and seals are often the first things to go, and replacing them is cheap. Close the tap and unplug the machine if water is spreading, and call. See our leaking guide.
Daewoo front loaders and mini washers
Daewoo front loaders and the wall-mounted mini washer have the faults of any front load machine, with a few points of their own.
The wall-mounted mini
The Daewoo mini is a small front loader fixed to a wall. Its usual faults are a blocked drain, a door lock, and vibration caused by loose wall fixings. Because it hangs on the wall, any knocking should be checked promptly: the four mounting bolts and their rubber cushions take the whole spin load. We check and retighten them at every visit.
Help with a stuck door on any front loader is in our door locked guide.
Daewoo twin tub repairs
A Daewoo twin tub has two motors, two timers, a few switches and little else, and almost every fault on one is a cheap repair.
Load the spinner evenly and press the inner cover down flat. A spinner that shakes badly is nearly always badly loaded, not broken.
Older Daewoo machines: can parts still be found?
For most older Daewoo washing machines the answer is yes for the parts that wear, and sometimes no for the electronics.
Daewoo appliances have been produced under more than one owner over the years, so two machines with the same badge can be quite different inside. That is why we ask for the model label before quoting. Where a new control board is no longer available, board repair in our workshop is usually possible, and we tell you plainly if it is not.
If a part cannot be obtained at all, we tell you at the diagnostic stage, before any repair cost is agreed.
Daewoo board and timer repair
A Daewoo automatic machine that is dead with a good supply, freezes mid-programme or never switches on one function has a control board fault. On twin tubs the equivalent part is the mechanical timer.
We remove the board and repair it on the bench where the fault is at component level, and the machine stays with you. We test the motor, valve and drain motor first, because a shorted part will damage a repaired board. Mechanical timers are replaced, not repaired.
Daewoo installation and care
We install Daewoo washing machines and reinstall them after a move.
Before the first wash.
All feet firm.
New hose, clean filter, tap fully open.
Low for gravity drain, standpipe for pump models.
A short programme with water.

Daewoo repair cost, and repair or replace
Daewoo washing machine repair in Dubai typically costs AED 150 to AED 350 at market rates for a lid switch, capacitor, belt, drain motor, pump, valve, timer or suspension set, and AED 350 to AED 800 for board work, a clutch, a motor or bearings. Our diagnostic visit is AED 100 plus VAT.
On an older Daewoo, look at the cabinet before spending on a large part. If the base is rusted or the tub supports are corroded, a major repair is money wasted, and we will say so. If the body is sound, small and medium repairs are well worth it.
We cover all of Dubai, including Dubai Marina, JBR, Palm Jumeirah, JLT, Downtown, Business Bay, Jumeirah, Al Barsha, Dubai Hills and Deira. For other makes see our main washing machine repair page.
Daewoo top loaders in detail: how they wash, fill and spin
Understanding how a Daewoo top loader works makes its faults easier to recognise, because each stage depends on one or two parts.
The air bubble system
Some Daewoo top loaders blow air into the wash water through small holes in the base of the tub, to improve the wash action. The air comes from a small pump in the base of the cabinet. If the bubbles stop, the pump has failed or its hose has come off or filled with water. The machine still washes without it, and the repair is optional, though inexpensive.
Overfilling
A Daewoo that fills past its top level has an inlet valve that is not closing or a level sensor that is not reading. Switch it off at the wall while it is filling. If water keeps coming, the valve is stuck open and the tap must be closed until it is replaced. If water stops, the sensor or its air tube is at fault.
Suspension, noise and a Daewoo that bangs on the spin
A Daewoo that bangs, shakes or stops repeatedly during the spin has worn suspension, an uneven floor or a badly spread load.
Test the rods by pressing the empty tub down a few centimetres and releasing it. A healthy tub rises and settles. A tub on worn rods bounces. Rods are sold as a set matched to the tub size, and fitting takes about 45 minutes. See the noise guide.
Daewoo machines on balconies and in hot laundry areas
Many Daewoo top loaders and twin tubs in Dubai stand on balconies or in small, hot utility spaces, and the conditions cause faults of their own.
A stand and a cover cost very little and can add years to a machine kept outdoors.
A Daewoo front loader that washes cold or takes too long
A Daewoo front loader whose programmes run well past the displayed time, with cold laundry at the end, has a heating fault. The control waits for the water to reach temperature and stalls when it does not.
If the breaker trips a few minutes into the wash, the element is leaking current to earth. Leave the machine unplugged until it has been tested.
Slow filling and no water on a Daewoo
A Daewoo that fills slowly, or stops soon after starting because no water arrives, usually has a blocked inlet filter and not a failed part.
Have a cloth ready for the water left in the hose.
It sits in the inlet valve's mouth. Use long-nosed pliers, gently.
Sand, rust flakes and scale collect here.
For kinks, and for a second filter washer at the tap end.
Then start a programme.
If the filter is clean and the tap runs well into a bucket, the inlet valve's coil has failed or the control is not powering it. A valve that buzzes loudly and passes only a trickle is worn. On dual-inlet machines, both hot and cold valves are tested. Where the building's pressure drops at busy times, the machine may report a fill fault although nothing in it is wrong.
How a Daewoo repair visit runs
A visit follows the same order each time, so you know where you stand at every step.
You send the model label and describe the fault. We check likely parts before setting out.
The technician runs the machine through its stages and tests the suspect part.
You are told the cost and whether the part is on the van or must be ordered.
Done on the spot where the part is to hand, with a full test wash.
With the warranty on parts and labour.
Most Daewoo repairs take 45 to 90 minutes. Jobs that need the tub out, such as a seal and bearing, take longer and are sometimes done in our workshop with your agreement.
