Overview

One Click Dubai repairs Electrolux washing machines at home across Dubai, with visits on the day you call. Electrolux washing machine repair covers front load washers, top load washers, washer dryers and the Electrolux laundry machines used in building laundry rooms and small businesses.

Electrolux owners in Dubai call us most about a door that stays locked, a machine that will not start, and a drum that will not spin. Those come first on this page, followed by leaks, draining, the softener drawer, bearings, the codes on the display and what a repair costs.

We fit genuine Electrolux parts, ordered against the product number on your machine's rating plate.

Electrolux washing machine repair in Dubai: the short answers

An Electrolux washing machine repair in Dubai with us starts with a AED 100 diagnostic visit, plus VAT, at your home. The technician finds the fault, gives you a fixed price, and in most cases finishes the repair in the same visit because the common Electrolux parts travel on the van.

QuestionAnswer
How soon can someone come? The same day. Within the hour for a leak or a door locked on a full drum
Which Electrolux machines do you fix?Front load, top load, washer dryers, and laundry machines in shared laundry rooms
Which parts are used?Genuine Electrolux parts. About 90% of what we need is in stock
Where is the work done?At your home for most faults. Some larger jobs, such as bearings, go to our workshop by agreement
What does the visit cost?AED 100 plus VAT, with no surcharge at night or on weekends
Is the repair covered?Yes. One month on parts and labour

Before you call, find the rating plate. On an Electrolux front loader it sits inside the door opening, and it carries a model name, a nine-digit product number (PNC) and a serial number. The product number is what identifies the right part, because one model name can cover several versions built in different years.

Electrolux washing machine service center in Dubai

If you searched for an Electrolux washing machine service center in Dubai, an Electrolux washing machine repair center near you or a service center contact number, here is what we offer: the service comes to your home, and you reach it on +971 55 209 9785 by call or WhatsApp at any hour.

A visit to a service centre means disconnecting a 70 kg machine, getting it down in a lift and across the city. Most Electrolux faults do not need that. A door lock, drain pump, inlet valve, belt, heater, pressure sensor or door seal is changed in your laundry area in about an hour.

What our Electrolux service includes

Fault finding with the machine's own service test, which runs the valves, pump, motor, heater and lock one at a time and shows the stored alarm code
A fixed price before work starts, with the part named on the quote
Genuine Electrolux parts matched to the product number
A full test cycle after the repair, with the machine pushed back and levelled
A written invoice with the warranty on it

Electrolux washing machine servicing for a machine that still works

Electrolux washing machine servicing on a working machine is a preventive visit. We clean the drain filter and pump housing, the inlet hose screens and the detergent drawer recess, check the door seal for tears and trapped objects, check the belt and the shock absorbers, descale if the heater shows build-up, and run a hot maintenance wash. Once a year is enough for a family machine. A laundry room machine used by a whole building needs it more often.

Electrolux group machines share a great deal with AEG and Zanussi washers, so the same technicians handle all three.

Electrolux washing machine door locked: latch, lock and what to try

An Electrolux washing machine door locked after the cycle ends is normal for the first three to five minutes, because the lock has to cool before it releases. If the door is still locked after that, the cause is water left in the drum, the child lock, or a failed door lock or latch.

The emergency door release

Selected Electrolux front loaders have an emergency release trigger behind the filter flap at the bottom right. Electrolux's instruction is to switch the machine off, pull the plug, open the filter flap, pull the trigger downward twice and keep it held on the second pull while you open the door. Do this only when the drum has stopped and the water is not hot. If the water level is above the door, drain it through the filter first with a shallow tray.

Door latch or door lock: which one has failed

They are two parts. The door latch is the hook and spring in the door itself, and it wears or snaps so that the door no longer clicks shut. The door lock, also called the interlock, sits behind the front panel. It holds the hook and tells the control board the door is secured. When the lock fails, the door may close normally but the cycle never starts, or the door stays locked on a finished wash.

An Electrolux washer door latch replacement means taking the inner door frame apart. An Electrolux washing machine door lock replacement is done from the front, by releasing the seal's outer clamp and two screws. Both are home repairs, done in the same visit, and we carry both parts for the common front loaders.

A door jammed by laundry caught in the catch needs patience, not force. Pulling hard on an Electrolux door handle breaks the handle, and then the door needs two parts. Our guide to a washing machine door that is locked covers the general steps.

Electrolux washing machine not starting or not turning on

An Electrolux washing machine not starting has one of two patterns. Either the machine is dead, with no lights at all, or it has power and lights but the programme will not begin. A dead machine points to the supply, the mains filter or the control board. A lit machine that will not start points to the door lock, the child lock or a setting.

Why an Electrolux has power but will not run

The control board will not open the water valves until the door lock reports that it has closed. A lock with a burnt contact, or a latch that does not push far enough into it, leaves the machine lit and silent. That is the single most common reason we find for an Electrolux washing machine not turning on a cycle.

The second is the delay start. If a delay was set by accident, the machine counts down quietly and looks as if it has ignored you. Turn the programme dial to Off, wait a few seconds and select the programme again.

Power surges when the supply returns after a building shutdown can damage the mains filter or the board's power supply. If the machine went dead straight after a power cut, tell us, because we bring the filter and a board for your product number.

Electrolux washing machine not spinning

An Electrolux washing machine not spinning is usually protecting itself. The control skips or shortens the spin when the water has not drained, when the load is out of balance, or when there is too much foam. A drum that does not turn at any stage of the wash is a drive fault: the belt, the motor or its control.

Water still in the drum. the spin never starts. This is a drain fault, and the code is in the E20 family.
One heavy item, such as a bath mat or a duvet cover that has swallowed the rest of the wash: the machine tries to balance several times, then finishes with a slow spin or none. Electrolux groups unbalanced loads under the EF codes.
Too much detergent. foam cushions the drum, the control detects it and replaces the spin with extra rinses.
Belt worn or off the pulley. the motor runs with a whirring sound and the drum stays still or turns weakly.
Worn motor brushes on machines with a brushed motor. the drum turns slowly, struggles with a full load and then stops altogether. The code is in the E50 family.
Inverter motor or motor control fault on newer machines. no drum movement, often with an alarm stored.
Worn shock absorbers. the tub swings too far, the control sees imbalance on every load and limits the spin.

A two-minute test

Empty the drum and run the Spin programme alone. If the empty drum reaches full speed, the drive is healthy and the cause is the load, the foam or the suspension. If it does not spin empty, switch the machine off and book a visit, because running it further can burn a slipping belt or damage a failing motor.

Our guide to a washing machine that is not spinning explains each cause in more depth.

Electrolux washing machine leaking, including from the bottom

An Electrolux washing machine leaking from the bottom usually has a loose or split drain filter seal, a failed pump, a perished internal hose or a tub seal that has started to let water into the bearings. Where the water appears, and at what point in the cycle, tells you which.

Where and whenLikely source
Front, under the door, during the washDoor seal torn, dirty or pinched, or too much foam
Front right corner at the bottomDrain filter not screwed fully home, or its rubber ring damaged
Under the machine while fillingDispenser hose, inlet valve or the hose from the drawer housing to the tub
Under the machine while drainingDrain pump body, pump hose or sump hose
Behind the machineInlet hose connection or a split drain hose
From the detergent drawerBlocked drawer jets or very high water pressure
Rusty or oily water marks under the centreTub seal leaking into the drum bearings

Many Electrolux machines have a float switch in the base tray. When water collects there, the machine stops filling, runs the drain pump and shows a code from the EF group. If your machine pumps constantly and will not start a wash, there is water in the base, and the leak has to be found before the code will clear.

Turn the tap off and unplug the machine if water is reaching a wooden floor or a neighbour's ceiling. We treat an active leak as an emergency and aim to arrive within the hour. For slower leaks, the washing machine leaking guide shows how to trace the source.

Electrolux washing machine not draining, and a softener dispenser full of water

An Electrolux washing machine not draining is blocked at the filter in most cases, and Electrolux's own advice for the E20 codes is to check the pump, the drain hose and the filter. A softener dispenser that does not empty is a different fault with a different cause: the siphon in the drawer is clogged.

Clearing a drain fault

1
Drain the water safely

Open the flap at the bottom right, put a shallow tray underneath and loosen the filter slowly so the water comes out in stages.

2
Clean the filter

Remove coins, hair clips, lint and small socks. Check that the pump's impeller behind it turns freely with a fingertip.

3
Check the drain hose

It should not be kinked behind the machine, and it should not be pushed deep into the standpipe.

4
Check the sink connection

If the hose joins a sink trap, the spigot on the trap is a common place for a plug of grease and lint.

5
Run a drain programme

If the pump hums and no water moves, or there is no sound at all, the pump has failed.

A pump replacement on an Electrolux is a 40-minute job at home. If the filter is clean and the pump runs but the water returns to the drum, the hose is set too low and the machine is siphoning. More detail is in our guide to a washing machine not draining.

Electrolux washing machine softener dispenser not draining

Water left in the softener compartment after every wash means the small siphon cap in that compartment is blocked with dried softener. Electrolux's guidance is to keep softener below the MAX mark, dilute thick softeners with a little water, and wash the drawer regularly.

1
Remove the drawer

Pull it out fully and press the catch to release it.

2
Lift out the insert

Take the softener insert or siphon cap off and rinse it under warm water until the small tube is clear.

3
Clean the recess

Brush the roof and floor of the drawer housing, where the water jets are.

4
Refit and leave ajar

Leave the drawer slightly open between washes so that it dries.

If the compartment is clean and still floods, the fault is behind the drawer: a blocked jet plate or an inlet valve that drips into the softener channel during every fill. That needs a visit.

Electrolux front load washer bearing replacement

An Electrolux front load washer needs bearing replacement when the spin has become a loud roar that grows with speed, and the drum can be rocked up and down against the tub by hand. The bearings fail because the tub seal in front of them has let water through.

Signs to check yourself

A rumbling or jet-engine sound on spin that was not there a year ago
The drum, turned by hand with the machine off, feels rough or makes a grinding sound
Lifting the top of the drum's inner lip moves the drum relative to the outer tub
Brown or grey marks on laundry, or rust-coloured streaks on the back of the tub

What the job involves

The machine is stripped to the tub, the tub comes out, and the drum is separated from it. What happens next depends on how your model's tub is built. Where the two tub halves are bolted or clipped together, we press out both bearings and the seal and fit new ones. Where the tub is welded into one piece, the bearings cannot be reached and the rear tub assembly is replaced. We tell you which applies to your product number before quoting.

This is the one Electrolux repair we often do in the workshop, because it needs a press and a clean bench. We collect the machine and return it, and the price you agreed does not change.

When it is worth doing

Bearings are worth replacing on an Electrolux under about eight years old that is otherwise sound. On a machine over ten years old with a tired motor or a rusted drum shaft, the money is better put towards a new washer, and we will say so. A machine left running on failed bearings eventually damages the drum shaft and the tub, and then the repair stops being economic at any age.

Electrolux washing machine error codes

Electrolux washing machine error codes are grouped by the number after the E. Electrolux publishes the meaning of each group, and some models show the same faults as C1, C2 or a flashing light sequence.

CodeWhat Electrolux says it meansWhat we usually find
E10, E11, C1Water supply issue: not enough water entering the machineClosed tap, kinked hose, blocked inlet screen, low pressure, or a failed inlet valve
E20, E21, C2Draining problem involving the pump, drain hose or filterBlocked filter, an object in the pump, a kinked or blocked hose, or a failed pump
E30 groupWater pressure sensor problemBlocked pressure hose or chamber, or a failed sensor
E40 groupDoor lock problemDoor not fully closed, worn latch, failed lock or damaged wiring
E50 groupMotor problemWorn brushes, a loose connector, the speed sensor, or the motor control
E60 groupHeating system faultOpen-circuit heater, a failed temperature sensor, or a relay on the board
EF0, EF3 and relatedWater leakage, over-foaming or an imbalanced loadWater in the base tray, too much detergent, or a single heavy item
EH0Power supply problemUnstable mains voltage, an extension lead, or a board fault

Write down the full code, including the second digit, before you switch the machine off. E41 and E45 are both door codes, but they point to different parts. If the alarm clears after a restart and does not return, it was most likely a one-off, such as a tap left half closed.

A code that returns on every cycle needs a meter, not a reset. Tell us the code when you book and the technician arrives with the likely part.

Repair or replace an Electrolux washing machine, and what repairs cost

Most Electrolux washing machine repairs in Dubai cost between AED 150 and AED 500 at market rates, which covers door locks, latches, drain pumps, inlet valves, belts, heaters and door seals. Control boards, motors and bearing jobs run from AED 400 to AED 1,000. We confirm the exact price after the AED 100 diagnostic visit.

RepairTypical market rangeUsually worth doing?
Door lock or door latchAED 150 to 350Yes, at any age
Drain pumpAED 200 to 400Yes
Inlet valve or pressure sensorAED 150 to 350Yes
Belt or motor brushesAED 150 to 350Yes
Heating elementAED 200 to 450Yes
Door sealAED 250 to 500Yes
Shock absorbersAED 250 to 500Yes, if the tub and bearings are sound
Control boardAED 400 to 900Yes under eight years. Compare prices above that
Bearings or tub assemblyAED 500 to 1,000Yes under eight years. Rarely over ten

A rule that works for most households: if the repair costs less than half the price of an equivalent new machine and the washer is under eight years old, repair it. Electrolux front loaders are solidly built, and a machine that has had a new pump and lock at six years will usually run for several more.

We also fix an Electrolux washing machine under a landlord's or building's instruction, with the invoice made out to whoever is paying.

Electrolux washing machine installation

Electrolux washer installation is part of our work: transit bolts out, machine levelled, inlet hose and drain hose connected at the right height, and a test run. A new machine that shakes or bangs on its first spin still has a transit bolt in.

Electrolux washing machine making noise when spinning, or a buzzing sound

An Electrolux washing machine making noise when spinning has worn bearings if the sound is a deep roar, worn shock absorbers if it is a thump against the cabinet, and a foreign object if it is a rattle. An Electrolux washer buzzing sound comes from a different place: the drain pump or an inlet valve.

SoundWhenCause
Roar rising with speedSpinDrum bearings. See the bearing section
Thump or bangSpin startUnbalanced load, worn shock absorbers, or transit bolts left in
Metallic rattleWash and spinCoin or underwire between drum and tub

A buzzing pump should be switched off promptly, because a jammed pump overheats. Clear the filter and try again. Our noise guide has more.
