Overview
One Click Dubai repairs Gorenje washing machines at home in Dubai, with a technician on the way the same day. We repair Gorenje front loaders of every depth and capacity, built-in models and Gorenje washer dryers.
Gorenje owners search by fault: the water will not drain, the drum will not spin, the door is locked, or the machine will not start. This page puts those four first, each with the checks you can make and the repair that follows, and then covers leaks, heating, noise, what the display shows, installation and cost.
Parts fitted are genuine Gorenje parts, matched to the model and serial number on the rating plate.
Gorenje washing machine repair in Dubai: in brief
Gorenje washing machine repair in Dubai with One Click Dubai starts with a AED 100 diagnostic visit, plus VAT, at your home. You get the cause and a fixed price before work, and most Gorenje faults are fixed in that visit.
The rating plate is inside the door opening. A Gorenje model begins with W or WA, followed by letters and numbers, and has an article number beside it. Send a photo when you book.
Gorenje washing machine problems and faults: where to start
Gorenje washing machine problems fall into the pattern below. Find the row that matches, then go to the section named.
Gorenje washing machine faults that appear once and clear after a restart are usually caused by a closed tap, a kinked hose or a power dip. Faults that return need a visit.
Gorenje washing machine not draining
A Gorenje washing machine not draining has a blocked pump filter in most cases. With the water not draining, the machine will not spin and the door stays locked, so this is the fault to clear first.
Put a cloth and a low tray under the filter cover at the bottom front.
On models with a drain funnel or small hose behind it, use that to guide the water into the tray.
Slowly. Let the water out in stages.
Remove lint, coins, buttons and hair grips.
It should turn with a slightly notchy feel.
Then check the drain hose for bends, and its height at the standpipe.
And listen for the pump.
If the machine stands on a plinth or is built in, the tray will not fit under the filter. Use a shallow baking tin or a folded towel and empty it in stages. Expect several litres from a drum that has stopped mid-wash.
Gorenje advises cleaning the filter regularly. If it is clear and the fault remains, the pump is replaced at home in about 40 minutes. See the not draining guide.
Gorenje washing machine not spinning
A Gorenje washing machine not spinning has usually declined to spin because of water left in the drum, a load it could not balance, or foam. Gorenje machines check balance before every spin and will reduce the speed or leave the spin out if the drum would shake.
Try a spin with the drum empty. Full speed when empty means the drive is fine. No spin when empty means a failed part. Newer Gorenje machines with inverter motors have no brushes, so on those the belt and the control are the suspects. See the not spinning guide.
Gorenje washing machine door locked
A Gorenje washing machine door locked at the end of the programme releases after a short delay, usually a minute or two. If it stays locked, the drum still holds water, the child lock is set, or the lock has failed.
Until the lock symbol on the display goes out.
If present, run a drain programme or empty the drum at the filter.
A key symbol means the controls are locked. Hold the buttons shown in the manual.
And unplug. Then try the handle gently.
Many Gorenje models have a release lever beside the pump filter. With the drum empty of water, push or pull it as the manual shows while opening the door.
Book a lock replacement. Do not force the handle.
A lock that fails the other way stops the programme from starting: the door closes, the lock symbol blinks, and no water enters. It is the same part, replaced from the front in half an hour. See the door locked guide.
Gorenje washing machine not starting
A Gorenje washing machine not starting with the display lit is waiting for the door, the child lock, a delay or water. With no display, the supply or the control unit is at fault.
Gorenje machines with automatic load sensing turn the drum for a short while before filling, to weigh the laundry. That pause at the start is normal. A pause that never ends is not. Our won't start guide has the full list.
Gorenje washing machine leaking
A Gorenje washing machine leaking has a fault at the pump filter, the door seal, the detergent drawer, a hose, the pump or the tub seal.
Gorenje models with total water protection have a float in the base and a safety valve on the inlet hose. When water reaches the base, the supply is shut off and the pump runs. If the machine will not fill and the pump runs constantly, find the leak before doing anything else.
Close the tap and unplug for a leak that is running, then call. See the leaking guide.
Heating faults, long programmes and a Gorenje that trips the breaker
A Gorenje whose programme runs far past the displayed time and delivers cold laundry has a heating fault. One that trips the breaker a few minutes into the wash has a heating element leaking current to earth.
The element is at the bottom of the tub and is replaced from the back, or from the front on some models, in under an hour. If the breaker trips, do not keep resetting it. Leave the machine unplugged until it has been tested with an insulation tester.
A programme that grows by a few minutes is something else. Gorenje machines adjust the time once they have sensed the load and may add rinses for foam.
Noise, bearings and shock absorbers
A Gorenje that has turned loud is pointing to a particular part.
Gorenje ships its machines with transport rods through the back panel that hold the drum. They must be taken out before use. A machine moved to a new home should have them refitted for the journey. See the noise guide.
What the Gorenje display is telling you
Gorenje machines report faults as E or F with a number on the display, or by flashing lights on models without one. The numbering has changed between generations, so the behaviour of the machine is the more reliable guide.
Note the exact code and send it with the model number. We check it against Gorenje's list for your machine and bring the likely part.
Gorenje washer dryers and built-in machines
Gorenje washer dryers and built-in washers add a few faults and a little extra work to the repair.
Washer dryers
Dry half loads. The drying capacity is lower than the washing capacity. See washer dryer repair.
Built-in
A built-in Gorenje is released from under the worktop, with the plinth and furniture door removed as needed, slid out on a protective sheet, repaired and refitted with the door realigned. The lock, seal and filter are front-access parts and do not need the machine out.

If you need a Gorenje washing machine service center in Dubai, One Click Dubai sends a technician to your home with genuine Gorenje parts. Call or WhatsApp +971 55 209 9785.
The visit runs the same way each time: you book with the model and the fault, the technician tests the machine, you approve a fixed price, the repair is done and a full programme is run, and you receive an invoice with the warranty.
A service on a working Gorenje covers the filter and pump chamber, inlet screen, drawer and recess, door seal, belt, brushes where fitted, shock absorbers and a hot cleaning programme.
Gorenje installation and care
We install Gorenje washing machines, and correct installation prevents the commonest early faults.
And fit the blanking plugs.
The machine must not rock.
With its filter, to a tap that opens fully.
Within the height range in the manual, loose in the standpipe.
A short programme, checking each joint.

Gorenje repair cost, and repair or replace
Gorenje washing machine repair in Dubai typically costs AED 150 to AED 450 at market rates for a pump, door lock, belt, brushes, seal or heating element, and AED 400 to AED 950 for a control unit, motor or bearings. Our diagnostic visit is AED 100 plus VAT.
For a Gorenje under eight years old, any repair below half the cost of an equivalent new machine is worth doing. Above that age, we put both figures in front of you.
Most Gorenje repairs take 45 to 90 minutes. Pumps, locks, belts, brushes and heating elements for the common models travel on the van. A part specific to one model is ordered by its article number, and we give you the date before leaving, so that you can decide with all the facts.
We cover all of Dubai, including Dubai Marina, JBR, Palm Jumeirah, JLT, Downtown, Business Bay, Jumeirah, Al Barsha, Dubai Hills and Deira. For other makes see washing machine repair.
Slow filling, no water and the inlet side of a Gorenje
A Gorenje that stops shortly after starting, or takes a very long time to fill, has a restriction on the inlet side. Most of the time the cause is outside the machine or at its inlet filter.
And run it into a bucket to judge the flow.
It must not be kinked behind the machine or crushed by its feet.
Hoses with leak protection have a bulky valve at the tap end. If its indicator has changed colour, the hose has tripped and must be replaced.
Close the tap, unscrew the hose at the machine and rinse the small mesh in the valve inlet.
Start a short programme.
If the supply is good and the filter is clean, the inlet valve's coil has failed or the control is not powering it. Gorenje front loaders have two or three valve coils, for prewash, main wash and softener, so a fault may show only at one point in the programme: for example, the softener is never taken.
Water level faults on a Gorenje front loader
A front loader does not need to be full to wash, so level faults are less obvious than on a top loader. They show as odd behaviour.
The sensor reads air pressure in a small tube from a chamber low on the tub. Detergent sludge blocks the chamber, and the tube hardens and splits with age. We clean the chamber, replace the tube where needed and test the sensor's output against the actual level.
Softener, the drawer and a door seal that smells
Two housekeeping faults bring many Gorenje owners to look for help, and both are cured at home.
Softener or water left in the drawer
Pull the drawer out, lift the siphon cap from the softener compartment, rinse it and the tube beneath it, and brush the roof and floor of the drawer recess. Thick softener is best thinned with a little water. If water still sits in the compartment after cleaning, one of the inlet valves is dribbling and needs replacing.
Smell and black marks on the door seal
A musty smell comes from film on the door seal, in the drawer recess and on the outside of the drum. Wipe the seal's fold, clean its drain holes, and run the hottest programme with the drum empty. Repeat monthly, leave the door ajar between washes, and include a hot wash in the weekly routine. Staining that has gone into the rubber does not come out, and a badly affected seal is replaced.
Gorenje control unit faults
A Gorenje that is dead with a proven supply, freezes with the time not counting down, or never switches on one function while the part tests good has a fault in its control unit.
We check the heater, pump, valves, lock and motor before the control unit. Component faults are repaired on the bench in our workshop and the machine stays with you. A replacement unit is ordered by the article number on the rating plate, because the same model name covers several versions.
Features that look like faults
Several normal Gorenje behaviours are mistaken for faults. Knowing them saves a call.
If the behaviour goes beyond these, for example a stand-by that will not wake or a balance correction that never ends, it is a fault.
Moving house with a Gorenje
A front loader's drum hangs on springs and shock absorbers. Moved without its transport rods, it swings freely and can damage the shock absorbers, the tub and the cabinet.
Run a drain programme, then empty the last water through the pump filter.
Close the tap, remove the inlet and drain hoses and let them drain.
Through the holes in the back panel, with their spacers.
Never on its front.
Remove the rods, level the feet, connect, and run an empty test wash.
If the rods were not kept, tell the movers to carry the machine upright and carefully, and have it checked if it bangs on its first spin. We refit, level and test machines after a move.
