Overview
One Click Dubai carries out Hoover washing machine repairs at home across Dubai, the same day you get in touch. Hoover washing machine repair covers Dynamic Next, H-Wash and older front loaders, Hoover washer dryers and Hoover top load machines.
Hoover owners usually try a reset before they call anyone, so this page begins there: how to reset a Hoover properly and which faults a reset will never clear. After that come the door interlock, the Dynamic Next range, drums that will not turn, dead Start buttons, draining, leaks and codes.
Where a part is needed, we fit genuine Hoover parts chosen by the model and serial number on the label inside the door.
Hoover washing machine repairs in Dubai: quick facts
Hoover washing machine repairs in Dubai through One Click Dubai begin with a AED 100 diagnostic visit, plus VAT. You get the cause and a fixed price in writing, and most Hoover washer repairs are completed there and then.
Hoover and Candy washers are built by the same group and share doors, locks, pumps and boards on many models. A technician who knows one knows the other.
How to reset a Hoover washing machine
To reset a Hoover washing machine, turn the programme dial to OFF, wait for the display to go dark, switch the machine off at the wall for two minutes, then switch it back on and select the programme again. That clears a frozen programme and any one-off error.
Is there a Hoover washing machine reset button?
No. Hoover does not fit a separate reset button. On dial machines the OFF position cancels the programme, which is how Hoover's manuals describe stopping a cycle. On touch-panel machines the on/off key does the same job. Holding Start/Pause for a few seconds pauses the cycle so that you can change it. It does not wipe a fault.
Resetting the programme
Press Start/Pause and wait for the drum to stop.
Turn the dial to OFF, or press the on/off key, and wait ten seconds.
If water is in the drum, select Drain or Spin and start it. The door stays locked until the water is out.
Hoover's instruction is to wait two minutes after the cycle ends, until the door locked light goes out.
Choose the programme you want and press Start.
A PCB reset
What people call a Hoover washing machine PCB reset is the power-off reset: unplugged for two minutes so that the control board restarts from cold. There is no hidden key sequence that repairs a board. If the same error returns after a cold restart, the board is reporting a real fault somewhere in the machine.
What a reset will not fix
One reset is useful. Five in a row are not, and repeated restarts with a shorted part can do further damage to the board.
Hoover door interlock, door catch and door lock faults
A Hoover washing machine door lock fault shows in one of three ways: the door will not latch shut, the door shuts but the cycle will not start, or the door stays locked after the wash. The first is the door catch. The other two are the door interlock.
How the Hoover door lock mechanism works
The interlock is a small plastic unit behind the front panel, to the right of the door. When you press Start, the board powers a heating element inside it. A bimetal strip bends, a pin slides out to trap the door hook, and a contact closes to tell the board the door is secure. Only then does the machine fill. At the end, the power is removed and the strip takes up to two minutes to cool and release the pin. That is why a Hoover door never opens the instant a cycle finishes.
When the element or the contact burns out, the lock mechanism stops reporting, and the machine sits with its lights on and does nothing. Parts cost little. The damage comes from forcing the door, which breaks the handle and sometimes the door frame.
Hoover washing machine door lock replacement
We release the outer spring band of the door seal, peel the seal back at the right, undo the two interlock screws and swap the unit and its connector. A door catch is replaced by splitting the door's inner and outer frames. Either job takes 30 to 40 minutes at home, and we keep both parts for current Hoover models.
If your Hoover is leaking from the door, look at the seal before the lock. A torn or dirty seal, or a sock trapped in the fold, lets water past, and a seal replacement is a separate job covered further down. General steps for a stuck door are in our door locked guide.
Hoover Dynamic Next washing machine problems
Hoover Dynamic Next washing machine problems that we are called to most often are a door that won't lock, a drum that stops turning, a drain error, and a panel that lights up without starting. All four are repairable at home, and none of them means the machine is finished.
Dynamic Next machines came in many versions, with 8, 9 and 10 kg drums and with different motors, so the model code matters. It starts with DXA, DXOA, DXC or similar, and it is printed on the label inside the door alongside the serial number.
Many Dynamic Next models have One Touch, which links the washer to a phone by NFC. If the app will not connect, the wash programmes still work from the dial. A One Touch fault is a convenience problem, and we will tell you honestly if fixing it costs more than it is worth.
Hoover washing machine drum not turning or not spinning
A Hoover washing machine drum not turning during the wash or the spin has lost its drive, and a snapped belt or worn-out carbon brushes are the two leading causes. A Hoover washing machine not spinning at the end, while the drum turned normally in the wash, is more often a drain, balance or foam problem.
Tell the two apart
Hoover washing machine belt replacement
With the back panel off, a broken belt is obvious, lying in the base. We fit the correct belt for the model, check that the drum pulley is tight on its shaft and runs true, and spin the drum to check the bearings. A belt that has come off without breaking is a warning: something is out of line, usually a worn bearing letting the drum drop.
Brushes and motors
On Hoover machines with a brushed motor, the two carbon brushes wear a little with every wash. When they become too short to touch the commutator, the motor stops. New brushes restore it, provided the commutator is not burnt. Newer Hoover inverter machines have no brushes, and a no-spin fault there is traced to the motor's wiring, its sensor or the inverter module.
More on causes and home checks is in the not spinning guide.
Hoover Start button or Start/Pause button not working
A Hoover washing machine Start button not working, while the rest of the panel lights up, is usually not a button fault. The machine is refusing to start because a condition has not been met, most often the door lock.
Hoover's child lock disables the buttons. On many models it is set and cleared by holding two option buttons, such as temperature and spin speed, for about three seconds. Your manual shows the pair for your model.
Push it until it clicks. If the door locked light does not come on within a few seconds of pressing Start, the interlock is the suspect.
A delay start set by accident leaves the machine waiting. Turn the dial to OFF and select the programme again.
Between two programmes, the machine does nothing. Turn it squarely to a programme.
Off at the wall for two minutes.
If none of that brings the machine to life, the fault is in the control module or the button itself. On touch panels, moisture behind the fascia can make the Start/Pause key unresponsive. On push-button models, the small plastic stem behind the button can snap, so the button moves and nothing is pressed. Both are fixed without replacing the whole machine: a new button stem or panel, or a control module programmed for your model.

Hoover washing machine not draining
A Hoover washing machine not draining shows Error 3, or three flashes of the light on models without a display, and Hoover's checks are the drain hose, the house drain and the filter. A blocked filter is the cause more often than a failed pump.
Lay an absorbent cloth under the filter at the bottom front.
Hoover's instruction is to turn it anticlockwise to the stop, pull it out and clean it.
Reach in for coins and clips, and check that the impeller turns.
Turn it clockwise until tight. A little liquid soap on the seal helps it seat.
It must not be bent, kinked or trapped behind the machine.
Hoover suggests cleaning the filter five or six times a year. In homes with pets or with children's clothes full of sand, we suggest monthly.
If the filter is clear and the pump only hums, the pump is jammed or worn. If it is silent, the pump motor or its supply from the board has failed. A pump change takes about 40 minutes. The not draining guide goes through the steps with pictures.
Hoover washing machine leaking from the door or underneath, and seal replacement
A Hoover washing machine leaking from the door has a damaged, dirty or pinched door seal in nearly every case. A leak from underneath comes from the pump filter, the pump, a hose or the tub.
Hoover washing machine seal replacement
The door seal is replaced at home. We remove the outer band, release the inner spring clamp on the tub lip, clean the lip, fit the new seal with its drain hole at the bottom, and refit both bands. Then a rinse cycle is run with a torch on the join. Wiping the seal dry after the last wash and leaving the door ajar keeps the new one from going mouldy.
For a leak that is running now, shut the tap, unplug the machine and call. The leaking guide helps with slow ones.
Hoover washing machine error codes
Hoover washing machine error codes are short. Current Hoover manuals list four that the owner can act on, shown as a number on the display or as the same number of flashes of an indicator light on models without one.
Older Hoover machines show the same faults with two digits, for example E02 for a fill fault and E03 for a drain fault. Any other number is a fault inside the machine, such as the temperature sensor, the heater, the motor circuit or the control module, and it needs testing with a meter.
Count the flashes carefully: the light flashes a number of times, pauses, and repeats. Tell us the count, or the number on the display, when you book.
Hoover washing machine service center in Dubai, and repairs under warranty
If you are searching for a Hoover washing machine service center in Dubai or a Hoover washing machine repair number, ours is +971 55 209 9785, and the service is carried out at your home with genuine Hoover parts.
If your Hoover is still under the maker's warranty
For a Hoover washing machine warranty repair, check your purchase invoice first. A machine inside its warranty period should go through the shop or the warranty contact named on your paperwork, because a warranty claim costs you nothing. We are the right call once that period has ended, or for anything the warranty does not cover, such as a blocked pump or a damaged door handle.
What a service visit covers
For a working machine, a Hoover service visit means the filter and pump housing cleaned, inlet screens cleared, drawer and jets washed out, door seal checked, belt and brushes inspected, the drum checked for bearing play, and a hot cleaning cycle. It takes under an hour.
Hoover repair costs, how the visit runs and where we work
Hoover washing machine repair costs in Dubai typically run from AED 150 to AED 450 at market rates for an interlock, door catch, belt, brushes, pump or seal, and from AED 400 to AED 1,000 for a control module, motor or bearings. We quote the exact figure after the AED 100 diagnostic.
Hoover machines are priced for value, so we weigh any repair above about half the cost of a new machine carefully with you, and we say when replacing makes more sense.
Model code, error number or flash count, and your area.
Test programme, then the suspect part on a meter.
Fixed and written, before work.
Part fitted, full cycle run, machine levelled.
Invoice with the warranty.
We work across Dubai, including Dubai Marina, JBR, Palm Jumeirah, JLT, Downtown, Business Bay, Jumeirah, Al Barsha, Dubai Hills and Deira. Other brands are on our washing machine repair page, and combined machines on washer dryer repair.
Hoover washer dryers, top loaders and noisy machines
Hoover washer dryers, top load washers and machines that have become noisy are all repaired on the same visit basis as the front loaders above.
Washer dryers
A Hoover washer dryer that will not dry has a blocked fluff path, a failed drying heater, a tripped safety thermostat or a fan that has stopped. We clear the condenser and fan housing, test each part and reset or replace the thermostat. Drying loads must be smaller than washing loads, and the figure is on the rating label.
Top load machines
Hoover top loaders use a lid switch, a drain pump or valve, a belt and a clutch. A top loader that fills and then sits still usually has a failed lid switch. One that washes and will not spin has a drain or clutch fault.
Noise
A new machine that shakes badly has its transit bolts still fitted. Our noise guide covers the rest.
Keeping a Hoover out of trouble
Most Hoover call-outs we attend could have been avoided with four habits, all of them taken from Hoover's own instructions.
Softener dispenser not draining
A Hoover washing machine softener dispenser that stays full of water has a blocked siphon. Pull the fabric softener drawer out, lift off the small cap in the softener compartment, rinse the cap and its tube, and clean the drawer recess. Thick softener should be thinned with water and kept below the MAX line.
Hoover washing machine maintenance and installation
We offer both. Maintenance is the service visit described above. Hoover washing machine installation covers transit bolts, levelling, hose connections and a test cycle.
Once a month, run the hottest cotton programme with the drum empty to clear grease and detergent film from the tub and the heater.
Frequently asked questions
How do I reset my Hoover washing machine?
Turn the dial to OFF, switch off at the wall for two minutes, switch back on and select the programme again.
Where is the reset button on a Hoover washing machine?
There isn't one. The OFF position on the dial, or the on/off key, cancels the programme.
Why won't my Hoover washing machine door lock?
The door catch is worn or the interlock has failed. Check that nothing is trapped in the door, then book a replacement.
How long does a Hoover door stay locked after a wash?
About two minutes, until the door locked light goes out.
Why is my Hoover drum not turning?
A broken belt or worn carbon brushes in most cases. Turn the drum by hand: no resistance means the belt.
Why is the Start/Pause button not working?
The key lock is on, the door is not locking, a delay is set, or the control module has a fault.
What does Error 3 or E03 mean on a Hoover?
The machine cannot drain. Clean the pump filter and check the drain hose.
What are common Hoover Dynamic Next problems?
Door lock faults, worn brushes or belts, drain errors and control module faults. All are repairable.
How much do Hoover washing machine repairs cost?
AED 100 plus VAT for the diagnostic. Most repairs are AED 150 to AED 450 at market rates.
Do you do Hoover warranty repairs?
If the machine is inside the maker's warranty, use the contact on your invoice first. We repair machines outside that period.
Do you fit genuine Hoover parts?
Yes, chosen by model and serial number.
Do you repair Hoover washer dryers?
Yes, both the washing and the drying side.
