Overview
One Click Dubai carries out Zanussi washing machine repairs at home across Dubai, on the day you ask. Our Zanussi work covers Lindo100 and Lindo300 washers, Lindo1000 washer dryers, older Aquacycle machines, and built-in models such as the ZWI 71201 WA.
Zanussi owners most often need help with a door that is locked or will not lock, a machine that will not spin, and water that will not drain. Those three come first. After them: machines that will not start or that trip the electrics, leaks, washer dryers that do not dry, the conditioner drawer, and the E codes.
We fit genuine Zanussi parts, ordered by the product number on the rating plate.
Zanussi repairs in Dubai: the essentials
Zanussi repairs with One Click Dubai start with a AED 100 diagnostic visit, plus VAT. A washing machine engineer finds the fault at your home, quotes a fixed price, and completes most Zanussi washer repairs before leaving.
If you searched for Zanussi repairs near me or Zanussi washing machine repair near me, we cover the whole of Dubai from Al Quoz, so wherever you are in the city, a technician is close.
To fix a Zanussi washing machine quickly, we need the product number. It is a nine-digit number beginning 914, printed with the model on the plate inside the door opening. Zanussi is part of the same group as Electrolux and AEG, and the three share parts and fault codes.
Zanussi washing machine door locked, and how to unlock it
A Zanussi washing machine door locked at the end of a wash will open by itself after a few minutes, once the lock has cooled. If the door is still locked after five minutes, there is water in the drum, the child lock is on, or the door lock has failed in the closed position.
How to unlock a Zanussi washing machine
Wait five minutes.
If the drum holds water, open the filter flap at the bottom front and drain into a shallow tray.
Some Zanussi models have a small pull tab or lever beside the filter. Pull it down while easing the door open.
If it does not open, stop. The door hinge and handle break under force.
Lindo100, Lindo300 and Lindo1000 door locks and catches
The Zanussi Lindo100 door lock and Lindo300 door lock are the same style of part: an electric lock behind the front panel, with the hook of the door catch passing through it. On these machines the door catch, which is the plastic hook assembly in the door, often wears or cracks before the lock does. The door then closes without the firm click, and the wash will not begin.
A Zanussi Lindo1000 locked after drying is a slightly different case. It is a washer dryer, and the door stays locked until the drum has cooled, which can take ten minutes or more after a drying programme.
Zanussi door lock replacement
Zanussi washing machine door lock replacement is done from the front. We remove the outer band of the door seal, fold the seal clear at the lock side, undo two screws and exchange the lock. A door catch replacement means separating the two halves of the door. Either job takes about half an hour, and we stock both for the Lindo ranges. General advice for any brand is in our door locked guide.
Zanussi washing machine not spinning
A Zanussi washing machine not spinning has usually left the spin out on purpose because the water has not drained, the load is unbalanced or there is too much foam. When a Zanussi washing machine drum is not spinning or turning at all, a part has failed: brushes, belt, motor or its control.
Aquacycle 1000 and other older Zanussi machines
A Zanussi Aquacycle 1000 not spinning, or any Zanussi of that generation, is most often down to motor brushes. These machines have brushed motors that have turned many thousands of loads. Brushes are a cheap part and a quick repair. We also check the belt and the motor's speed sensor while the back is off.
Lindo300 not spinning
On a Lindo300, check the filter and the load before suspecting a part. These machines are strict about balance with small loads. A single pair of jeans or one bath mat will often be refused. If the drum does not spin when empty, book a visit.
If your Zanussi washing machine does not spin after these checks, stop using it until it has been looked at. A slipping belt burns, and brushes run to the end damage the motor. More home checks are in our not spinning guide.
Zanussi washing machine not draining
A Zanussi washing machine not draining water has a blocked filter in most cases. Zanussi describes its E20, E21 and C2 codes as a draining problem, and the filter, the drain hose and the pump are the three places to check.
Towels on the floor and a shallow tray under the filter flap.
Use the small emergency drain hose if your model has one. Otherwise loosen the filter a little at a time.
Remove fluff, coins and hair grips. Turn the impeller with a fingertip to check it is free.
No kinks, and no more than a hand's width into the standpipe.
If the hose joins the kitchen sink waste, clear the spigot of grease.
Run the Drain programme and listen for the pump.
Lindo100 and Lindo300 not draining
A Zanussi Lindo100 that won't drain and a Lindo300 washing machine not draining have the same layout: filter at the bottom right behind a flap. The pump on these models is clipped to the filter housing and is replaced from underneath with the machine tilted back.
ZWI 71201 WA not draining
The Zanussi ZWI 71201 WA is a built-in washer that sits behind a kitchen door and plinth. Its filter is reached by removing the plinth. Because the machine is boxed in, the drain hose is often kinked where it passes through the cabinet side, and that is the first thing we check. A Zanussi washing machine not emptying after a kitchen refit nearly always has a trapped hose.
A pump that hums without moving water is jammed or worn, and a silent one has failed electrically. See the not draining guide.
Zanussi washing machine won't start, won't turn on, or trips the electrics
A Zanussi washing machine that won't start a cycle, with its lights on, is nearly always waiting for the door lock. A Zanussi washing machine that does not turn on at all, with lights not coming on, has lost its supply or has a failed board. One that trips the electrics has an earth fault and should not be reset repeatedly.
Zanussi washing machine tripping the electric
A washing machine that trips the ELCB is leaking current to earth. The heating element is the most common source, because its metal sheath sits in water and eventually splits. The trip then happens a few minutes into the wash, when heating begins. Water dripping onto a connector, a damaged mains filter and carbon dust in the motor are the others. We test each with an insulation tester, which finds leaks an ordinary meter misses.
Zanussi washing machine timer problems
Older Zanussi machines use a mechanical programme timer that clicks round. A timer that sticks at one point is often waiting for something: for the water to heat, for the level to drop, or for the door to lock. The fault is then the heater, pump or lock, not the timer. Where the timer's own motor or contacts have failed, it is replaced.
On electronic models, the equivalent is a programme that freezes with the time not counting down. The same logic applies. See our won't start guide.
Zanussi washing machine leaking from underneath, the bottom or the door
A Zanussi washing machine leaking from underneath has a fault at the filter, the pump, a hose or the tub. A Zanussi washing machine leaking from the door has a door seal that is split, dirty or holding a trapped item.
Lindo100 and Lindo300 leaking water
On a Zanussi Lindo100 leaking water or a Lindo300 leaking from underneath, start with the filter and the sump hose clips. The ribbed hose from the tub to the pump is held by spring clips that can lose tension with age. The second place to look is the door seal's lower fold, where small objects cut through the rubber.
Zanussi washing machine seal replacement
A new door seal is fitted at home in under an hour. We release both retaining bands, clean the tub lip, seat the new seal with its drain holes downward, and run a wash to check. Models with an anti-flood float in the base will pump continuously and refuse to fill while water sits in the base tray, so the tray is dried at the same visit.
If water is running now, close the tap, unplug and call. Our leaking guide deals with slower leaks.
Zanussi washer dryer not drying
A Zanussi washer dryer not drying clothes, while the drum turns and the timer runs, has lost heat or airflow in its drying circuit. The Lindo1000 is the model we see most for this.
Zanussi Lindo 300 dryer reset
Owners sometimes look for a reset after a drying fault. Some Zanussi dryers and washer dryers have a safety thermostat with a small reset button on the heater housing, which trips if the airflow is blocked. It is inside the machine, not on the panel, and pressing it without clearing the blockage only makes it trip again. We clear the duct, find why it overheated, then reset or replace the thermostat.
Dry half the amount you can wash. The drying capacity on the door label is lower than the washing capacity. For more, see washer dryer repair.
Fabric conditioner or softener dispenser not draining
A Zanussi washing machine with fabric conditioner not draining from the drawer has a blocked siphon in the conditioner compartment, or weak water flow into it.
Pull it out and press the catch marked on the drawer to release it.
Rinse it and its small tube under warm water.
Top and bottom, including the row of water jets in the roof.
So that the recess dries between washes.
Keep conditioner below the MAX line and dilute thick products. If the fabric softener dispenser still holds water with everything clean, the inlet valve feeding that compartment is weak or the water pressure is low, and that is tested on a visit.
Zanussi washing machine faults and E codes
Zanussi washing machine faults are shown as E codes on models with a display, and Zanussi publishes what each group means. Some models show the first two as C1 and C2.
Zanussi washing machine problems with E10 are worth a word, because they are so often outside the machine. Check that the tap is fully open, that the hose is not kinked behind the washer, and that the small mesh filter in the hose end is clean. If water enters slowly at every tap in the home, the building's supply is low and the machine is not at fault.
Zanussi's advice is to note the full code before switching off. If it returns after you have made the checks, or more than one code appears, it is time for a repair visit.
Zanussi washing machine service center in Dubai
For a Zanussi washing machine service center in Dubai, One Click Dubai sends an engineer to your home with genuine Zanussi parts, so the machine stays where it is plumbed in.
That matters most for built-in models. A Zanussi integrated washer is fixed into the kitchen run with a furniture door hung on its front. We remove and refit the plinth and door, slide the machine out on protective sheets, repair it, and put everything back aligned.
A service on a working Zanussi includes the filter and pump housing, inlet filter, drawer and jets, door seal, belt, brushes, shock absorbers and a hot maintenance wash.
Zanussi repair cost and our areas
A Zanussi washing machine repair in Dubai typically costs AED 150 to AED 450 at market rates for a door lock, catch, pump, belt, brushes, heater or seal, and AED 400 to AED 1,000 for a board, motor or bearings. The diagnostic visit is AED 100 plus VAT.
We cover all of Dubai, including Dubai Marina, JBR, Palm Jumeirah, JLT, Downtown, Business Bay, Jumeirah, Al Barsha, Dubai Hills and Deira. See washing machine repair for other brands.
A noisy Zanussi, and bearing replacement
A Zanussi that has become loud on the spin has worn bearings if the sound is a steady roar, and worn shock absorbers or an unbalanced load if it is a thump.
To check bearings, open the door with the machine off, hold the top of the drum's inner lip and lift. Any movement of the drum relative to the tub, or a rough feel when you turn it by hand, means the bearings are worn. Some Zanussi models have a tub that can be opened to change the bearings and seal. Others have a welded tub and need the rear tub assembly. We confirm which from the product number and give you the price before you decide. See the noise guide.
Looking after a Zanussi washing machine
Zanussi's own care advice is short, and following it prevents most of the faults on this page.
On built-in models, also check once a year that the hoses behind the machine have not been trapped by the cabinet, and that the plinth vents are clear.
Installing a Zanussi, freestanding or built-in
We install Zanussi washing machines and washer dryers, and we correct installations that are causing faults.
Three at the back on most models. A new Zanussi that bangs on its first spin still has one fitted.
Feet adjusted until the machine is steady, lock nuts tightened.
To a tap that opens fully, with the hose's filter washer in place.
At the height in the manual, loose in the standpipe so that it cannot siphon.
Fixed under the worktop, furniture door hung and aligned, plinth cut and refitted.
With every joint checked.
Where an integrated Zanussi is replacing another make, the hinge positions on the furniture door may need re-drilling. We check before the old machine comes out.
Frequently asked questions
How do I unlock my Zanussi washing machine door?
Switch off, unplug and wait five minutes. Drain any water at the filter. Use the emergency release if your model has one. Do not force the handle.
Why is my Zanussi washing machine door locked?
The lock needs a few minutes to release. If it stays locked, there is water in the drum, the child lock is on, or the lock has failed.
Why won't my Zanussi washing machine spin?
It has not drained, the load is unbalanced, there is too much foam, or the brushes or belt have failed.
Why is my Zanussi Lindo300 not draining?
A blocked filter in most cases. Then the drain hose, then the pump.
Why won't my Zanussi washing machine start?
With lights on, the door lock is not confirming. With no lights, check the socket, fuse and breaker.
Why does my Zanussi washing machine trip the electrics?
An earth leak, most often from the heating element. Leave it unplugged and book a visit.
What does E10 mean on a Zanussi?
A water supply problem. Check the tap, the inlet hose and its filter.
What does E20 mean on a Zanussi?
A draining problem. Clean the filter and check the drain hose.
Why is my Zanussi Lindo1000 not drying?
A blocked fluff duct, a failed drying heater or thermostat, or a stopped fan.
