Midea automatic washing machine service center requests
Fully automatic top loaders are the Midea machines we attend most. They are simple, and their faults are consistent: the lid switch, the drain motor, the belt, the motor capacitor, the water level sensor and the suspension rods. We carry all six for the common capacities.
What the service includes
Each stage is run in turn: fill, wash, drain, spin. The failed part is confirmed with a meter.
A fixed figure for the part and the labour.
With a genuine Midea part.
A full cycle with water and a load.
With the warranty stated.
Midea washing machine not spinning
A Midea washing machine not spinning falls into one of two groups. On a top load automatic, the lid, the drain or the clutch is stopping the spin. On a front loader, the drain, the balance or the drive is. Find your type below.
Midea automatic or top load washing machine not spinning
On most Midea top loaders, the drain motor does two jobs. It opens the drain valve and, through a lever, releases the brake on the clutch so that the inner tub can spin. A Midea washer that won't spin and also drains slowly usually needs that one motor.
Midea front load washing machine not spinning
If your Midea washing machine cannot spin with an empty drum on the Spin programme, a part has failed and it is time to book. See also the not spinning guide.
Midea washing machine belt replacement
Midea washing machine belt replacement is needed when the belt has snapped, stretched or begun to slip. It is one of the quickest repairs we do, usually finished in 30 minutes.
Signs the belt is failing
How it is done
On a front loader, the back panel comes off and the belt is fitted over the motor pulley and walked onto the large drum pulley. On a top loader, the machine is tilted and the belt is fitted from underneath, between the motor and the clutch pulley, and the motor position is adjusted to set the tension.
Belts differ in length and in the number of ribs, so the part must match the model. We also look for the reason the old belt failed. A belt that broke with age is simply replaced. One that came off intact points to a worn bearing, a loose motor mount or a seized pump or clutch, and that has to be put right or the new belt will follow the old one.
Midea washing machine not draining
A Midea washing machine not draining has a blocked filter or hose on a front loader, and a jammed drain valve, failed drain motor or wrongly placed hose on a top loader. With a Midea washing machine water not draining, the spin will not start and a front loader's door stays locked.
Midea top load washer not draining
Most Midea top loaders drain by gravity. The hose must lie low, with no upward loop, to a floor drain.
It must not be submerged or blocked.
And look into the tub outlet for a small sock.
A click and a hum from below is the drain motor pulling the valve open. Silence means the motor or the board output has failed.
The valve or motor is replaced from underneath.
Midea front load not draining
Open the small door at the bottom front, drain the water into a tray, unscrew the filter and clean it. Check that the pump impeller turns and that the drain hose is not kinked. Midea's front load manuals show E21 when draining takes too long. If the filter and hose are clear and E21 returns, the pump needs replacing.
Hose heights and trap checks are shown in our not draining guide.
Midea washing machine door locked
A Midea washing machine door locked at the end of the cycle opens after a minute or two, when the lock symbol goes out. A door that stays locked longer has water behind it, a child lock set, or a failed lock.
A top loader with a lid lock behaves the same way in miniature: the lid stays locked while the tub is turning and for a short time after it stops, and that is a safety feature, not a fault.
Do not force the handle. A lock is a small part, changed in half an hour, and a broken door costs more. More help is in the door locked guide.
Midea washing machine water leaking
Midea washing machine water leaking onto the floor comes from a hose joint, the drain valve or pump, the door seal on a front loader, or the tub seal. Watch when the leak happens.
An inlet valve that passes water when the machine is off slowly fills the tub overnight. If you find water in a machine you left empty, close the tap and book a valve replacement.
For an active leak, shut the tap, unplug and call us. The leaking guide has tracing steps.
Midea washing machine not starting
A Midea washing machine not starting needs four things before it will run: power, a closed lid or door, water at the tap, and the child lock off.
Low water pressure in upper-floor apartments at peak times can trigger an inlet code on its own. If the code appears only at certain hours, the machine is probably healthy. Our won't start guide has a full checklist.
Midea washing machine codes
Midea washing machine codes differ between front load and top load machines. The ones below are those Midea's own manuals explain for the owner.
Code numbering can vary between Midea ranges, so treat the table in your own manual as the authority for your model. Send us the code and the model number when you book and we will confirm what it means.
Midea washing machine replacement parts
Midea washing machine replacement parts that we fit most often are wearing parts: they are expected to be replaced during the life of the machine, and none of them is a reason to scrap it.
We fit genuine Midea parts ordered by model number. We supply parts as part of a repair, fitted and tested, not over the counter, because the warranty covers the part and the work together.
Midea installation and maintenance
We install Midea washing machines and maintain them. Correct installation prevents the two commonest early faults: a front loader that shakes because a transit bolt was left in, and a top loader that will not drain because its hose was hung over a sink.
Transit bolts on a front loader, the base packing on a top loader.
All feet bearing weight, lock nuts tight.
New hose, tap fully open, no kinks.
Low to the floor drain on gravity models, into a standpipe on pump models.
A short wash, watching each joint and the spin.
Maintenance you can do
A maintenance visit adds the belt, suspension, drain valve, water level tube and the hidden space between the tubs.
Midea repair cost, and repair or replace
Midea washing machine repair in Dubai typically costs AED 150 to AED 350 at market rates for a lid switch, belt, capacitor, drain motor, pump, valve or suspension set, and AED 350 to AED 800 for a board, clutch, motor or bearings. The diagnostic visit is AED 100 plus VAT.
Midea machines are inexpensive to buy, and that sets the limit. We will not recommend a repair that costs more than half a new machine of the same size unless yours is nearly new.
We cover all of Dubai, including Dubai Marina, JBR, Palm Jumeirah, JLT, Downtown, Business Bay, Jumeirah, Al Barsha, Dubai Hills and Deira. See our main washing machine repair page for other makes, including Haier and Hisense.
Midea top loader that overfills, underfills or washes without enough water
A Midea top loader that fills too high, stops filling too early or starts washing with hardly any water has a fault in its water level sensing, not in its valve in most cases.
The machine does not measure water directly. A thin air tube runs from a chamber at the bottom of the tub up to a pressure sensor under the control panel. As water rises, it compresses the air in the tube, and the sensor reports the pressure to the board. Three things go wrong with this arrangement.
We blow the tube clear, clean the chamber, test the sensor's output against the water level, and replace it if it reads wrongly. If your machine uses automatic load sensing, give it a fair chance first: it turns the dry laundry for a few seconds to weigh it, and a very light load will get a low level by design.
Midea twin tubs and washer dryers
Midea twin tub machines and washer dryers have their own short lists of faults, and we repair both at home.
Twin tub
Washer dryer
A Midea washer dryer that washes and will not dry has a blocked fluff path, a failed drying heater or thermostat, or a stopped fan. We strip and clean the drying duct, test each part, and replace what has failed. Dry smaller loads than you wash, because the drying capacity on the label is lower than the washing capacity. More is on our washer dryer repair page.
Midea front loader that washes cold or runs for hours
A Midea front loader whose programmes run far longer than the time shown, with laundry coming out cold, has a heating fault. The control waits for the water to reach temperature, and when it never does, the programme stalls and eventually times out.
A failed element can also leak current to earth and trip the breaker a few minutes into the wash. If the breaker trips, leave the machine unplugged until it has been tested.
Suspension rods, shock absorbers and a Midea that walks
A Midea that bangs, walks across the floor or stops with an unbalance code on ordinary loads has worn suspension, an uneven floor, or transport fixings that were never removed.
A top loader hangs its tub from four rods with a spring and a friction damper at the bottom of each. When the dampers wear, the tub swings freely and strikes the cabinet as the spin builds. Press the empty tub down and release it: it should rise and settle at once. If it bounces several times, the rods are worn. They are replaced as a set of four.
A front loader stands its tub on two or three shock absorbers and hangs it from springs. Worn shock absorbers let the tub rock, and the control cuts the spin speed to protect the machine. They are replaced in pairs. In both types, check that the machine is level and that every foot is firmly on the floor before blaming a part.
